About

Hi, I'm Christian, an Arlington, Virginia based photographer.  While this site's focus is my photography, it also provides an opportunity for me to explore others avenues and activities.  If you're interested in my photography and would like to have me shoot your next event, please contact me and I'd be happy to discuss it with you.

Family Fun in Georgetown

Although I don’t get to Georgetown all that often, I did make it out there with Mike, Kim, Megan and Henry.  Kim exuded contagious excitement as we walked around the neighborhood. The architecture is unique; there are many different types of dwellings, entrances of every variety, and colors galore.  When we arrived a parking space was immediately available (which is a small miracle) and just a few feet away was a vibrant blue door.  This could only portend of good things to come on this fun family portrait session.

Megan simply has awesome eyes and is so cute.  She certainly hammed it up for the camera, playing a perfect model, or as she would describe it, princess.20090616-mandk-1

Another few doors down and we came across a nice set of stairs, and look, a charming family just happened to be sitting there.20090616-mandk-2

Megan and Henry are so great together.  She treats him like a king prince.20090616-mandk-3

Of course, we had to get a shot of Mike and Kim together.20090616-mandk-4

This family is so great together.  You can tell they have lots of love for one another.20090616-mandk-13

Besides the bags of M&M’s that the kids got from me for being on their best behavior, Kim brought some bubbles. They fascinated Henry and Megan danced through them.20090616-mandk-14

Mike and Kim, thanks for inviting me to share an evening with your great family.

June 19, 2009 - 8:31 am Mike - Thanks, Chris, these turned out really well. Looks like the overcast weather didn't present much of a problem, and the colors look great. It's almost enough to make me forget how much I hate traveling through Georgetown.

June 19, 2009 - 1:59 pm Caroline - Wow! Amazing pictures. You did a great job of capturing personalities and the colors are amazing. I would love to know, did you beef up the saturation or what? Perhaps I will have to call you and get your secrets. :) Oh and I love the idea of bringing the kids a treat if they are good. That is a tip I am definelty going to utilize. From experience I know that photographing families with small children can be...shall we say challenging, trying, frustrating, etc...so I am glad to have a little hint of how to make things go more smoothly. Fantastic pictures as always!

June 19, 2009 - 3:41 pm Barbara - These are amazing family photos. You capture the soul of the people. I want you to come and take pictures of our family.

June 19, 2009 - 4:50 pm Lenna - Chris, Great work! I am so looking forward to the awesome work that you will do for our family. Too bad we don't live closer or we could hire you as a photographer more often!

June 21, 2009 - 6:45 pm Marlet - These are some great family shots. The little boy's face is so sweet; I just want to give him a squeeze.

June 26, 2009 - 12:07 am James - Chris, I didn't know you were a photographer. These shots are awesome! Mikayla and I are thinking about getting a "fancy" camera for our 'round the world adventures. Looks like it's really worth it. But then, how am I going to get you to come too?

June 26, 2009 - 3:30 pm Steven - Chris, You really have a talent. Maybe when my family comes to visit Kim and Mike we can meet you. I would love to have you take our photographs.

June 26, 2009 - 5:26 pm Danica Nelson - I love this fam and you captured them beautifully. Favs are the one of Megan looking out into the sky and the last one of the family standing in the alley/walkway. Nice work!

June 26, 2009 - 10:55 pm Andrea - Beautiful shots Chris!!! Holy cow, you captured them beautifully! I LOVE the close ups of Megan's eyes!!

June 27, 2009 - 10:30 am John and Suzanne - Nice photography of a great family in the perfect location. Kim doesn't know it yet but she has a talent for photography, she just needs a little encouragement and a few tips! Come on Kim, give it a try. Chris, thanks for the wonderful photos of our daughters family. (Kim's parents and proud to be Henry and Megans Grandparents!)

June 29, 2009 - 12:05 am crystal - I'm Mike's sister and I just have to say what an incredible job you did on this photo session. Megan is not always the easiest to "capture" at her best, but you made it look easy. All of the pictures turned out beautiful and i'm sad that you don't live closer. If you ever happen to come to Utah let me know. I would love for you to take our family pictures.
